Jacque Edwards, a Graphic Designer & Tree Hugger

I grew up with a mother that painted for a living and a father that worked as a pressman for one of the biggest newspapers in Michigan. You can say I took a bit of both my parents’ career and made it my own as a graphic designer and creator.

Finishing my degree at Ferris State University changed my life. I bounced around from Michigan to Colorado until I landed a dream job working for the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. I became obsessed with learning about the Great Lakes and its natural resources and how to protect them. I got involved locally with my downtown development authority, female entrepreneurs, the local film festival and a scuba diving group. I leaned into my creative skills and time because it's my way of building relationships with people who can would an impact on community and the environment.

5 years later-- I’ve completed an expedition of diving all five Great Lakes in 24-hours with a group of women called Big Five Dive. I’ve opened my own apparel company, Clean Ocean Clothing, to bring awareness to plastic pollution issues while inspiring wave makes around the world.

My passion is to create and make relationships with other to make a bigger wave of change.
